Louisville, KY – August 4, 2025 – Preferred Medical today announced the appointment of Jessica Bartell as Senior Vice President of Corporate Initiatives. Bartell, who has more than 25 years of healthcare and workers’ compensation industry experience, will lead the company’s strategic growth initiatives, including the launch of new services that complement the company’s existing pharmacy, ancillary and medical bill review solutions.
In this newly created executive role, Bartell will report directly to CEO Amy Wrightsel and spearhead high-impact initiatives that position Preferred Medical for significant expansion in the workers’ compensation healthcare market. Additional responsibilities include developing go-to-market strategies, establishing strategic partnerships, and working alongside the executive leadership team to guide long-term strategic planning and innovation efforts.

Bartell’s extensive background in the workers’ compensation market spans nearly two decades through progressively responsible positions at Progressive Medical, Helios, Optum Workers’ Comp and Auto division, and One Call. Her career began at Cardinal Health, where she held various roles in pricing, financial analysis, and business development, building the foundational skills that have driven her success in healthcare leadership.
