Courtney Coomer grew up in Louisville KY and attended Assumption High School and Western Kentucky University. As a University of Kentucky Wildcat fan and mother of two girls under the age of three, she is a proud Kentuckian, Preferred Medical’s home. She takes pleasure in providing exceptional customer service for Preferred’s clients by practicing quick responses/turnaround times, cost containment, and thorough communication to the injured worker and claims examiners. She imbues that same level of responsiveness, professionalism and purpose in her team that handles every inbound item to Preferred and ensures it gets to the right person as promptly as possible. Courtney joined Preferred’s Ancillary Services department in 2012 where she quickly excelled and was promoted to Senior MSE Specialist because of her attention to detail and fast rapport with clients. She utilizes her 10+ years of customer service skills on a daily basis in leading the Intake Team.
Lucciana (Lucci) was born and raised in Lima, Peru. She moved to the United Stated at the beginning of high school and attended Indiana University Southeast. She was originally hired by Preferred Medical as a bilingual customer representative in 2013 and since then has made this company her career. Lucci has held three different positions in the company. In her current role as Pharmacy Manager she manages her department’s process, provides professional development to her team, and is an escalation contact for clients. She also helps with implementing new pharmacy-related products and services with invaluable operational insights. She is a life-long learner and looks forward to the new experiences and challenges this industry always provides.
With more than 20 years of customer service leadership, Kendra Henry’s strong customer focus has been the force behind Preferred Medical’s well-known, high touch customer experience. Kendra joined Preferred in May 2016. Among Kendra’s many responsibilities as Senior Customer Service Manager is to understand each client’s operational and communication needs. Those unique insights help drive Kendra’s decision-making while arming her team with the knowledge and tools to optimize and, most importantly, personalize that client’s customer service experience. Kendra understands that maintaining top-notch service requires consistent professional development so she develops her own team’s internal training modules focused on building customer service skills that go beyond the hard skills needed to support the operation. These modules include important soft skill training focused on exceptional listening, clarity in communication, proactive problem solving and product/service expertise.
Kyle Kippes is the Ancillary Services and Operations Manager at Preferred Medical, overseeing delivery of ancillary products (from crutches to Myo-electrical prosthetics to translation to transportation to home health services) to injured workers at a predictable, discounted rate to our clients. Kyle has nearly a decade of experience in the Ancillary services marketplace. Before joining Preferred Medical in 2014, he played a vital role in the respiratory department at Williams Brothers Healthcare and also served as a delivery and repair technician for all DME and Oxygen needs for Sizewise Mobility. He not only applies that wealth of knowledge to his own client and vendor/partner interactions but also mentors his team to develop both that expertise and a client-centric approach to ensuring a prompt, accurate and personalized engagement. Kyle served as a US Army Infantryman from August 2005 to March 2009, traveling and serving in the line of duty during warfare and ensuring the safety of his country, it’s citizens and his fellow soldiers.
Apryle Moore joined Preferred Medical in 2017 with over 15 years of corporate finance management experience, five of those years specifically within the healthcare insurance sector. Her day-to-day role involves overseeing and optimizing accounts payable, accounts receivable and organizational-wide billing practices for Preferred Medical. She earned her BSBA, Major in Management from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Apryle loves her family, and with a young child she works diligently on maintaining the proper work-life balance.
Leah Yasko has nearly 20 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry with 8 of those years specifically in workers’ compensation. During that time Leah has played a key role in the development and execution of medical utilization management programs both nationwide and overseas. Leah’s most notable projects have been pharmacy programs specifically geared toward the promotion of safe, smart and cost effective prescribing for injured workers. Leah joined Preferred Medical in November 2018 as Client Services Manager. Leah is responsible for all new PBM and Ancillary client implementations and fostering those new relationships through a seamless transition process, so she often is the “face of Preferred” when onboarding new clients. Leah and her team of client liaisons are focused on identifying nuanced client demands and expectations as they transition into the Preferred family. Leah and her team also help to execute Preferred’s internal program improvement projects with a top focus on enhancing the client experience.
